Technical Description
The adidas Originals Punstock SPZL "Blanch Cargo" is built in a soft beige suede construction that runs monochrome from upper to outsole — a rustic tan palette that sits somewhere between sand and cream depending on the light. The upper takes a moccasin-inspired form with clean, minimal lines inherited from the adidas Freizeit — the archive runner that served as the Punstock's original design reference. A suede upper, leather lining, and rubber outsole complete the construction with the kind of material restraint that defines the SPZL approach: no excess, no ornamentation, just premium materials in a considered form. Available in unisex sizing with UK sizing standard.
Storytelling
The Punstock was first introduced by adidas SPZL in 2018 as a Wallabee-inspired rework of the adidas Freizeit — one of Gary Aspden's most referenced archive silhouettes. That original pair used brown leather, tougher and more structured. The SS26 "Blanch Cargo" version moves to a softer beige suede, making this the most refined and historically considered iteration of the silhouette to date. It's the kind of progression that characterises the best SPZL releases: each iteration doesn't just repeat a design, it deepens it.
