Design Inspiration & Story
The BadBo 1.0 “Resilience” is the first signature silhouette from global artist Bad Bunny and adidas Originals — a major shift from his past reinterpretations of archive models into a fully original sneaker design. Its rollout coincided with Bad Bunny’s headline performance at Super Bowl LX, where he debuted the shoe on a worldwide stage as part of a defining cultural moment for the brand and his partnership with adidas.
The name “Resilience” reflects the personal journey and ethos that Bad Bunny champions — rising through challenges while staying true to self, a narrative echoed in the neutral colorway and layered materials.
Look & Feel
This colorway mostly sticks to a Chalk White / Talc / Core White palette that feels refined and minimal yet grounded in lifestyle wearability. The silhouette draws inspiration from 1990s athletic trainers, giving it a retro-inspired profile with a modern finish.
Unique design cues include subtle triangular overlays along the sides that nod to an abstract reinterpretation of the Three Stripes without overt branding. Blue accenting appears on tongue and heel details, while “adidas Para Bad Bunny” co-branding lands on the insoles as a signature touch.
Materials & Construction
The upper combines layers of premium materials — suede, leather and nubuck — for depth and texture, contrasted with clean mesh and suede overlays. The sneaker has a sleek one-piece toebox and structured paneling that bridges heritage sports design with streetwear sensibilities.
The sole is shaped for everyday comfort and a lifestyle vibe rather than pure performance, keeping the shoe comfortable for all-day wear with a classic adidas feel.
Fit & Wear
BadBo 1.0 fits in line with typical adidas sizing and is designed as a unisex lifestyle sneaker, pairing effortlessly with a variety of outfits thanks to its neutral palette and balanced proportions.
