The "Charm Black" colorway celebrates Charmaine Gilgeous, Shai's mother and former Olympic sprinter who represented Antigua and Barbuda at the 1992 Games. The name combines her first name with her favorite color, black, reflecting the understated elegance she passed down to her son. The seamless neoprene upper with TPU panels adopts an all-black finish, from the zipper shroud concealing the laces to the rubber outsole. Shai's hand-drawn logo on the tongue appears embroidered in dark grey.

The SHAI 001 features a Nike Zoom Air unit in the forefoot for explosive responsiveness, wrapped in full-length foam cushioning.
