Nike's trail super shoe goes deep into the forest with a Dutch Green and Vegas Gold palette that mirrors the terrain the ACG Ultrafly Trail was built to conquer.
Design & Inspiration
Part of Nike's bold reintroduction of ACG as a dedicated outdoor performance brand, the "Dutch Green" colorway reads like a topographic map brought to life. Deep forest tones on the upper bleed into barely volt midsole foam, while Vegas Gold accents add a technical sharpness that reflects the shoe's race-ready intent. Synthetic wave detailing along the upper-midsole transition creates a seamless visual flow, while the exposed ZoomX midsole — left uncovered to morph freely over uneven surfaces — makes the foam itself a design statement.
Comfort & Performance
Two years and 13 rounds of testing across 30,000+ miles shaped every detail of this shoe. The ZoomX midsole delivers 85% energy return, paired with a redesigned split-spine carbon FlyPlate that flexes naturally over roots and rocks rather than fighting the terrain. A Vibram Litebase outsole handles traction in all conditions, while the fast-draining mesh upper manages heat and creek crossings on long efforts. Nike athlete Caleb Olson validated the setup by winning both the 2025 Transgrancanaria Classic and Western States Endurance Run in a prototype. The ACG Ultrafly Trail runs 13 grams lighter than the 2023 edition, maintaining the same 8.5mm drop.
