Design Inspiration & Story

The “I-95” edition from the City Pack Collection draws inspiration from the iconic Interstate 95 highway that runs along the U.S. East Coast. I-95 has long been a cultural corridor, connecting major cities and shaping regional style, music, and sneaker culture along the way.

The Air Max 95 itself carries strong East Coast roots, especially in cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Miami where the silhouette became a street staple. This colorway taps into that movement. The highway reference ties into speed, motion, and connection, themes that naturally align with the Air Max 95’s design language.

The return of the Big Bubble tooling reinforces that late-’90s energy, bringing back a more exaggerated visible Air unit that nods to the model’s early days.

Look & Feel

The upper typically leans into gradient greys, blacks, and asphalt-inspired tones, reflecting highway pavement and city infrastructure. Subtle accent colors may reference road signage or lane markings, adding small pops that break up the darker base.

The layered side panels remain the focal point, flowing like lanes in motion. Reflective detailing enhances the night-drive aesthetic, giving the sneaker extra presence under low light.

Materials & Construction

Mesh forms the breathable base, layered with suede and synthetic overlays that create depth and structure. The build stays true to the original 1995 blueprint designed by Sergio Lozano.

Underfoot, the Big Bubble heel unit amplifies the visible Air cushioning, delivering impact protection and comfort. The outsole features durable rubber with flex grooves for everyday wear.
