As part of its 30th‑anniversary celebrations, Nike revives Sergio Lozano’s cult-classic Air Max 95 “Black Border” from ‘96—reissued in Fall 2025 with OG details and upgraded cushioning tech.

This retro faithfully replicates the iconic contrast between a pristine white mesh base and bold black overlays, the striking visual feature that earned it its 'Black Border' nickname. Emerald green Hyper Jade accents enliven key areas like the tongue branding, mini‑Swoosh, and visible Air units in both forefoot and heel. High‑quality mesh and leather panels preserve the layered anatomy-inspired design, while metallic silver touches on the heel tab add a subtle vintage sheen.
This edition features Nike’s “Big Bubble” heel unit, providing extra cushioning and support without changing the original silhouette’s fit. Alongside visible Air units across the midsole and a classic waffle rubber outsole, it blends long-worn comfort with improved longevity—ideal for nostalgic wearers seeking both form and function.

The Nike Air Max 95 OG “Black Border” is scheduled to drop on July 17th for $190/€190/175£. It dropped early at selected retailers.
