The Nike Air Max 95 OG “Neon” returns in 2026, staying faithful to the silhouette’s original 1995 blueprint while refining key archival details for a new generation.
Originally designed by Sergio Lozano, the Air Max 95 broke away from traditional running shoe aesthetics with its anatomy-inspired construction. The layered side panels were modeled after muscle fibers, the midsole represented the spine, and the lacing system echoed ribs. Nearly three decades later, the 2026 edition preserves that vision with precision.
Gradient suede overlays fade from dark charcoal to light grey, maintaining the unmistakable sidewall progression that defines the model. A breathable mesh upper anchors the build, while Volt (Neon) accents hit the eyelets, mini Swoosh, tongue branding, and visible Air units. The contrast remains as sharp and recognizable as ever.
A defining element of this 2026 release is the return of the larger-volume visible Air units — often referred to as the “Big Bubble” tooling. Both the forefoot and heel units are shaped closer to early production specs, offering a more pronounced look underfoot. This detail not only strengthens the visual impact but also reconnects the retro to Nike’s mid-’90s Air innovation era.
The speed-lacing system, padded collar, and multi-layered construction remain intact, delivering a secure, supportive fit true to the original performance intent.
The Nike Air Max 95 OG “Neon” (2026 re-edition) is expected to release globally on March 5th via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Retail pricing is $190
A near one-to-one revival of one of Nike’s most important designs, the 2026 edition reinforces why the “Neon” remains the definitive Air Max 95 colorway.
