The Nike Baltoro makes its comeback after a 20-year absence, reviving the 1990 ACG hiking boot with vibrant '90s energy and modern materials following Stüssy's successful reintroduction.
Design & Inspiration
Originally launched in 1990 as part of Nike's early All Conditions Gear lineup, the Baltoro spent two decades out of production before Stüssy brought it back in October 2025. This "Bright Spruce" colorway embraces the boot's original bold aesthetic with a textured mix of suede and textile materials. Bright Spruce, Fruit Punch, Kumquat, and Celestial Gold come alive against a black backdrop, capturing the vivid palette that defined '90s outdoor gear. The high-top construction features Nike's signature Swoosh, aggressive lugged outsole for trail traction, and rugged outdoor DNA that made ACG legendary. Unlike the 2005 retro that leaned into even louder colorways, this 2025 version balances heritage vibrancy with contemporary wearability.
Comfort & Performance
Built with a chunky EVA midsole and heel block for cushioning, the Baltoro combines trail-ready durability with all-day comfort. The reinforced upper delivers stability on varied terrain, while the solid rubber lugs provide reliable traction. Originally designed with a reinforcing steel shank and polyurethane heel plug, the modern version maintains the boot's technical functionality for both outdoor adventures and urban exploration.
