The Nike Ja 3 "12 Time" celebrates Ja Morant's AAU basketball program launched in South Carolina—a platform designed to mentor middle school-aged players and pass down the lessons learned from his own youth coaches during the competitive circuit.

Design & Inspiration

The Ja 3 is Nike's most responsive signature shoe for Ja Morant, built with full-length Hybrid ZoomX foam that the Memphis Grizzlies star describes as "jet fuel." This colorway honors his Twelve Time AAU team through near-tonal construction.

Bleached Turquoise engineered mesh covers the entire upper and TPU monogram "JA" support overlays, maintaining the team color theme from base to sole. The only contrast arrives through strategic branding: an orange vertical Swoosh on the lateral side outlined in purple, and a pure purple horizontal Swoosh on the medial side—Morant's signature mismatch theme. A purple Twelve Time jewel badge anchors the tongue, with another purple hit on the heel. Inside the tongue, motivational text from Morant reads "Bucket in the backyard or bucket in the league; a bucket is a bucket," reinforcing his belief that true scorers shine anywhere. Alternating insole graphics provide additional Twelve Time branding.
