Design & Inspiration

Black Flyknit upper creating a near all-black base, with Dark Smoke Grey and Anthracite tones on the midsole and lace unit adding depth. The knit upper carries engineered perforations for breathability. Large outsole nodes sit under the foot as the shoe’s signature feature, translating the Mind technology into visible design. The laces anchor the foot closer to the nodes, heightening the sensation underfoot. Nike’s Mind Science team developed the concept, which treats the sole as a way to engage sensory areas of the brain and help the wearer stay present. The 002 Flyknit is the most style-forward model in the Mind series, pairing the research-driven sole with a clean, minimal colorway.
