Design & Inspiration

The Nike Vomero Premium debuted October 2025 as the top-tier model in Nike's revamped Road Running lineup—a response to market share lost to HOKA, On, and ASICS. The model features an unprecedented 55mm heel stack height, making it the tallest road running shoe in Nike's portfolio. Designed by Charles Han and Rachel Nichols, the Vomero Premium emerged from a rebellious design process that started in Korea, where prototypes were cobbled together from Nike's best technologies and tested through 5K beach runs.

The "Alabaster/Citron Pulse" colorway captures autumnal energy through layered color blocking. Engineered mesh upper combines pale yellow with near-green tones, contrasted by a Blue Void lateral Swoosh and Hyper Violet tongue logo. The massive midsole showcases a multicolor gradient treatment transitioning from deep blue through green, red, orange, and pink—framing volt-looking Citron Pulse Air Zoom units. Oversized "AIR" branding on the lateral and medial panels pays homage to the iconic 1996 Air More Uptempo basketball shoe, channeling Nike's fearless design spirit.
