Parisian minimalism meets Alpine trail heritage. The OAMC x Salomon XT-Quest fuses Luke Meier's utilitarian design philosophy with Salomon's technical outdoor expertise, reinterpreting vintage trail technology through a contemporary fashion lens.

Design & Inspiration

The XT-Quest represents a hybrid construction that merges two distinct Salomon platforms: the aggressive grip and secure hold of the XT-WINGS trail runner with the comfort, stability, and traction of the QUEST 4D 3 hiking boot. This collaboration with OAMC marks the model's first major partnership since 2022's Slam Jam release, positioning the XT-Quest as an emerging star in Salomon's expanding lifestyle-focused lineup.

Founded in 2013 by Luke Meier (former Supreme and Vans creative leader) and Arnaud Faeh, OAMC has built its reputation on "tough luxury" – blending military-inspired functionality with high-fashion refinement. The Paris-Milan label's previous sneaker collaborations with adidas Originals, Vans, and WTAPS established its distinctive approach: stripping designs to their essential elements while amplifying technical details.

The "Black/Silver" colorway embodies OAMC's minimalist aesthetic through near-total monochrome execution. Matte black mesh forms the breathable base, layered with smooth black synthetic overlays and PU-coated leather panels that provide weather protection and durability. OAMC's design intervention transforms the XT-Quest's typically aggressive overlays into fluid, round-edged panels that create architectural calm. Textured material appears behind strategic cut-out windows, while three deliberately-placed metallic silver teardrops on each lateral side provide subtle accents. Minimal co-branding appears only at the toe ("OAMC" lettering), up the lace shroud, and on the heel tabs, allowing the silhouette's form to take center stage. The Quicklace™ system includes a lace pocket for clean aesthetics. A chunky lugged outsole in black rubber maintains aggressive trail DNA while achieving urban-ready versatility.

Built on Salomon's proven trail technology, the XT-Quest OAMC features the 4D Advanced Chassis – a plastic midsole support plate that reduces lateral flex for enhanced stability without compromising natural foot roll or freedom of movement across rough terrain. The SensiFit™ system wraps the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, delivering a secure, precise fit. A molded OrthoLite® sockliner provides superior cushioning, breathability, and durability while matching foot contours for all-day comfort.
