Palace Skateboards unleashes its signature lightning aesthetic on Nike's Air Max DN8, marking the second collaboration between the UK skate brand and the Swoosh following their football-themed P90 debut. This Safety Orange colorway channels '90s maximalism with stormy graphics across Nike's latest Dynamic Air innovation.
Design & Inspiration
Palace ended its decade-long adidas partnership (2014-2024) to join Nike, with the Total 90 III "P90" collection launching October 31, 2025. The Air Max DN8 collaboration—rumored since December 2024—arrives as part of a three-colorway pack. Safety Orange mesh dominates with stormy cloud graphics and lightning bolt prints creating charged '90s energy. Palace's Tri-Ferg logo fuses with Nike's Swoosh on translucent toe guards, while metallic silver Swooshes add premium contrast. The eight Dynamic Air chambers feature split coloring—icy blue in front four tubes, safety orange in rear four—creating visual drama beneath the lightning-struck upper.
Comfort & Performance
The Air Max DN8 debuted February 6, 2025 as Nike's first full-length Dynamic Air application. Eight visible Air chambers contact the ground directly for maximum compression and flexibility. Two dual-pressure Air units (15 psi high/5 psi low in alternating tubes) allow air to flow freely between chambers during heel-to-toe transition. This delivers responsive cushioning that adjusts dynamically with every step—the "unreal" bounce Nike's performance footwear is known for. Breathable multi-layered mesh upper with synthetic overlays balances ventilation and durability for everyday lifestyle wear.
