This new edition of the Cortez features different materials. The first noticeable feature is the beige hairy suede upper. There are also tonal grained leather overlays on the toe box, eyelets, and heel reinforcement. The lateral swoosh and heeltab are adorned with smooth brown leather. The Nike and '72 inscriptions are engraved on the heels, retro branding is placed on the tongue, and metallic deubrés adorn the laces. A cream and red midsole and semi-translucent milky outsole provide the final touch.

Designed exclusively for women, this unique pair replaces its mainly leather construction with a hairy suede material on most of its upper. Leather appears at the toe, around the heel, and on the profile swooshes, in the "Light Orewood Brown" and "Earth" colors.

Finally, the revolutionary traction takes on a semi-translucent "Sail" finish that injects a "weathered" look into the women's shoe.
