This collaboration brings together WTAPS’ military-influenced minimalism and New Balance’s heritage running craftsmanship. Known for its disciplined, utilitarian aesthetic, the Japanese label applies a stripped-back approach to the iconic 1300 silhouette.

Rather than bold colors or loud branding, the “Black White” edition focuses on balance and precision. It reflects WTAPS’ philosophy of refined basics. Functional. Clean. Intentional. Combined with the Made in USA pedigree of the 1300, the result feels elevated but understated.

Look & Feel

The upper is dressed in deep black tones, contrasted by crisp white accents on the midsole and branding. The color blocking is simple and sharp, allowing the shape of the 1300 to stand out naturally.

Subtle co-branding details appear on the tongue and heel, while WTAPS’ signature typography elements add a quiet but recognizable identity. The overall look is sleek, versatile, and easy to integrate into everyday wear.

Materials & Construction

As part of the Made in USA line, the build emphasizes premium materials and craftsmanship. The upper combines high-quality suede with breathable mesh panels for structure and comfort.

Underfoot, the 1300 features ENCAP midsole cushioning, pairing a soft EVA core with a supportive polyurethane rim. This setup delivers stability and long-wearing comfort, staying true to the model’s performance roots.

Fit & Wear
