The Nike Swoosh 1 - The new silhouette for baby walkers approved by the medical profession

  • Posted By : Charly
Ever-expanding its sneaker catalog, Nike recently released a brand-new silhouette dedicated to the smallest members of the family, the Nike Swoosh 1.
Always at the forefront of footwear research, development and innovation, Nike's new model is designed to help little athletes take their first steps.
This important, emotional and sometimes stressful stage in a child's life, as well as in that of his or her parents, has often been the subject of controversy, particularly when it comes to what is put on their toes.

What are the pediatric recommendations for children's and babies' sneakers?

When looking for a pair of shoes for toddlers, pediatricians first recommend an ultra-flexible sole. It should be easy to bend and twist.
The baby's foot should be able to move as much as possible, so that all the intrinsic muscles and those moving from the foot to the leg have plenty of opportunity to move, be used and strengthened.
These motor patterns can then strengthen themselves rather than relying on external support.

Another very important point is the width of the toe. Many specialists claim that sneakers are not ideal for the development of toes, as we are not able to move them properly and the shape is not always natural for everyone's feet.
Indeed, pediatricians also recommend a pair that has room for the toes to extend when the child takes a step.
The idea, once again, is to let the muscles engage and support the foot from the inside out.

The adjustable closure is also an interesting feature, as every child's foot is different and we want the shoe to fit the foot snugly.
This prevents the child from slipping or shifting as he learns his new motor pattern. We're looking for motor skills as close as possible to the barefoot experience.
We don't want children grabbing with their feet to try to keep their shoe in place.
Finally, a solid heel is often recommended. Not too stiff, but one that helps the shoe stay on the foot a little better instead of slipping.

What are the features of the Nike Swoosh 1 ?

The Nike Swoosh 1 features a seamless Flyknit upper offering 360 degrees of flexible support for the child's foot. The shoe is easily bendable in all directions, offering maximum mobility to budding walkers and mimicking the feeling of walking barefoot.
The toe box has been designed to be wide enough to leave room for the front of the foot too. Last but not least, a lightweight TPU outsole provides the grip needed for those first hesitant steps, while also ensuring the shoe's durability.

A pair validated by a professional medical organization

The Nike Swoosh 1 was a project in its own right, aimed at facilitating and solving parents' need to equip their babies for their first steps. The brand naturally studied children's needs, behavior and movements and drew inspiration from them before innovating in this dedicated research.
This new silhouette adds to Nike's know-how, which has already rolled out numerous projects of the same kind, such as the 'Flyease''Go', or 'EasyOn' sneakers.
However, Nike is now taking things a step further, as the Nike Swoosh 1 is the first Nike Kids shoe to receive the Seal of Acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association, a professional medical organization representing doctors of podiatric medicine in the United States.
On paper, the Nike Swoosh 1 seems to tick most of the boxes recommended by the pediatric sector. To be confirmed in practice on the feet of your little ones.

Where to buy the Nike Swoosh 1 and at what price ?

The Nike Swoosh 1 has been available since November 1 at a price of €59.99/£44.95/$62 worldwide.
It was released in a first 'Siren Red Game Royal' colorway in sizes 18.5 EU to 23.5 EU (3C to 7C in US sizes).
This color was an immediate success, being sold out in Europe, the UK and the USA.
Two other colors have just been released in Europe and the UK (coming soon for the US).

Introducing the Air Max Pulse: Nikes Latest Addition to the Air Max Family on Air Max Day

  • Posted By : Hatim
Nike has recently introduced the Air Max Pulse, the latest addition to its Air Max family. The Air Max Pulse combines modern design with the brand's iconic Air technology to deliver unmatched comfort and style.
It draws inspiration from the brutalist architecture and urban landscape of London and the vibrant music scene in the city. As part of the launch campaign, London musicians Nia Archives and Jeshi embody the spirit of the Air Max Pulse.

The Air Max Pulse utilizes the same Air unit as the Air Max 270, but with a targeted weight distribution for better rebound and responsiveness. This technology ensures that the shoe provides the wearer with maximum comfort throughout the day, making it ideal for both daytime and nighttime wear. Its durability is another feature that sets it apart from other sneakers on the market.

Air Max technology has been an essential part of sneaker culture since the launch of the first Air Max sneaker in 1987. The idea behind Air Max was to provide runners with a comfortable, cushioned shoe that would minimize the impact of running on the body.
Over the years, Nike has continued to evolve the Air Max technology, releasing new silhouettes based on the Air technology every year.

Nike has always been known for its storytelling, and the Air Max Pulse is no exception. The shoe takes inspiration from the brutalist architecture and urban landscape of London, a city that has played a significant role in the history of sneaker culture.

The Air Max Pulse features a sleek and bold silhouette, with contrasting textures and multiple Swoosh logos. The upper features reflective 3M accents, while the new Air Max branding appears on the tongue and insole.

In conclusion, Nike's Air Max Pulse is the latest addition to the Air Max family. Its combination of modern design and Air technology makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish shoe. The shoe is not just a new addition to the Nike collection; it is a tribute to the brand's commitment to evolving Air Max technology and its place in sneaker culture. The Air Max Pulse is a statement piece that is sure to turn heads wherever you go.

Rumor Has It Drake NOCTA Teams Up with Nike to Revive the Nike Air Zoom Drive Silhouette

  • Posted By : Hatim
Drake’s NOCTA sub-label is partnering with Nike to revive an overlooked Nike Air Zoom Drive silhouette from the late 1990s.

This upcoming NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive SP is rumored to arrive in two simple colorways: “Black” and “White” other are showing Grey colorway.
It is expected to feature a paneled mesh construction with ’90s detailing, a signature moderator underfoot plate, and co-branding logos.
The retail price for both colorways is set at $165, maybe 169,99€ for Europe and £159,95 for UK, and they are expected to release in men’s sizing during the Holiday 2023 season.

Drake has been taking inspiration from Nike’s archives to create his silhouettes, such as the Air Terra and the unnamed Zoom Flight 95-inspired model. Now, he is reviving the Nike Air Zoom Drive, a predecessor of the Air Presto designed by Tinker Hatfield during its development. The original model had a more traditional collar and construction but featured stretchy mesh for a “t-shirt” fit.
The NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive SP White will give the silhouette a clean makeover, while the “Black White” colorway will keep things simple with a black and white color scheme.

While Drake’s NOCTA sub-label has not made as big of an impact as both Nike and Drake would have liked, the partnership between the two continues to take an archival approach to footwear. The NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive SP is expected to feature a more premium construction than its predecessor, with added NOCTA flair.
The shoe will come with special packaging marking the release and will be available through Nike, NOCTA, and select retailers online and in-store.

Please note that at this time, there are no official images or mockups available for the NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive SP.
As such, we prefer not to share any unofficial images or leaks, as they may not accurately represent the final product.

Nike New Leadership and the Future of the Sneaker Market: Whats Next

  • Posted By : Hatim

Nike's Leadership Changes: A New Era for the Sneaker Giant

Nike, a global powerhouse in the footwear market, is making some major moves to keep up with the ever-evolving consumer landscape. The company recently announced some significant changes in its senior leadership, aiming to deepen its consumer-led growth and marketplace advantage. Heidi O’Neill, previously President of Consumer & Marketplace, will now serve as President of Consumer, Product & Brand, while Craig Williams, former President of Jordan Brand, will take on the role of President of Geographies & Marketplace.

Heidi O’Neill, a Nike veteran of 24 years, is known for her consumer-focused approach and her ability to build deep relationships and engagement with the brand. She has been instrumental in driving Nike's Consumer Direct Acceleration strategy, which focuses on building direct relationships with consumers. This strategy has proven to be a powerful advantage, especially during the pandemic when the landscape changed overnight. O’Neill's leadership philosophy is influenced by her early experiences in retail and her family's resilience in the face of setbacks. She believes in the power of a comeback and the importance of heart, will, and courage in overcoming challenges.

Craig Williams, on the other hand, has led Jordan Brand through unprecedented growth, doubling its revenue in the last four years and making it the second-largest footwear brand in the United States. Williams' strategy focuses on building deep consumer relationships and creating a strong intersection between sport, culture, and community.

The Changing Footwear Landscape: Jordans and Dunks on Shelves

Looking at the future of the footwear market, it was predicted to reach $120 billion by 2026, with the resale market potentially reaching $30 billion by 2030 but these figures can still be acceptable? I'm not sure, after the covid-19, everything is a huge mess. That is why Nike is doing so many changes, with its strong focus on consumer-led growth, product innovation, and brand storytelling, is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth. The company's commitment to equity and equality, its investment in women's category, and its focus on direct relationships with consumers are all part of its strategy to stay ahead in the game.

Interestingly, adidas, one of Nike's main competitors, has also been making significant decisions in 2023. Bjørn Gulden joined adidas as the new CEO in January 2023, and the company is currently conducting a thorough strategic review, which includes the financial ambition for 2025. adidas also announced early financial guidance for 2023, expecting sales to drop by $1.28 billion in 2023 if it doesn't sell leftover Yeezy inventory. This shows that adidas, like Nike, is also grappling with changes in the footwear landscape and trying to navigate the challenges ahead.

Looking Ahead: What's Next for Nike in the Footwear Market?

As a footwear enthusiast, it's an exciting time. We're all waiting with bated breath to see how Nike, the market leader and the head of footwear culture, under the leadership of O’Neill and Williams, will navigate these changes and continue to make waves in the footwear world. Will they introduce new models? Will they focus on exclusive releases or broaden their range? Only time will tell.

But one thing's for sure: Nike is a brand that knows how to innovate and adapt, and we can't wait to see what they come up with next. Stay tuned for more updates on this dynamic and ever-evolving market!

The fall of the Nike Dunk Low Panda - From coveted to hated

The fall of the Nike Dunk Low Panda - From coveted to hated

  • Posted By : Charly
If you don't know which pair of sneakers is the Nike Dunk Low 'Panda', you've undoubtedly seen it in spite of yourself at the feet of people in the streets or on the social networks.
This black and white version of Nike's low-top basketball silhouette, with its simple, effective and easy-to-wear colorblocking, has been a huge success since its release in 2021.
Coveted by collectors and the general public alike, the Dunk 'Panda' was not an easy cop for a long time, especially at retail prices.
By the end of 2023, the pair has blended into the landscape, remaining in stock in most boutiques and even becoming a hated pair seen and reviewed in every direction.
So what happened ?

1 - The use of scarcity

After a gentle re-introduction of the Nike Dunk Low in 2020, the Swoosh brand simply released super-limited Dunks with well-spaced release dates.
These special editions were, of course, coupled with landmark collaborations such as Virgil Abloh's with Off-White. (As well very limited)
Already an iconic silhouette for the brand, the Nike Dunk (particularly the low) has rapidly become once again the trendy silhouette that everyone wants to wear.

2 - Rising value in perception and secondary markets

It wasn't until March 2021, when the market was already hot, that the Dunk Low 'Panda' hit the shelves.
They dropped in full family sizing : MenWomenGSPSTD.
Skillful quantity control and the simultaneous increase in demand mechanically boosted resale prices for most dunks on secondary markets. Even older releases have regained value.
The success of the black and white version was immediate, and its price climbed to 3 times its retail value at its peak.
In this type of scenario, and very often without realizing it, our perceived value for an object can quickly rise : "250€ for a Dunk, that's not expensive".
At retail prices, everything sells like hotcakes.

3 - Brand control

The case of the Nike Dunk Low 'Panda' illustrates just how much control an equipment manufacturer like Nike can have over its branding.
The pair was by no means a Nike Store exclusive and was available from the Swoosh's usual retailers. I don't need to remind you that every drop was a struggle, especially when you know that you could resell them for 2 to 3 times their price instantly.
By contrast, the restocks that arrived periodically afterwards were for a long time exclusively on the Nike Store. The brand then had total control over supply, using intelligent arbitrage to ensure demand didn't plummet in a matter of months.
The Dunk Panda hype did not slow down until late 2022 and early 2023, when stock began to remain online for several hours.

4 - Flooding the market : a plan all along

The question has been asked on several occasions : will Nike definitively cut off supply of the Dunk Panda and stop restocking ? To date, the answer is still no.
Nike has gradually opened the floodgates, bringing restocks closer to a monthly rhythm. Independent retailers have also been given extra stock.
You might think it's killing the model and bad for branding, but that was the plan all along.
The colorway was intended to be a 'Never sold out' pair also called 'Carry-over'. Simply put, a permanent model like the Nike Air Force 1 'Triple White'.
The process of getting it right was delayed as much as possible according to demand and the market, in order to make the model and the color last over time, while selling as many as possible along the way.
Clearly not an easy task, and if you think about it, what other brand is capable of doing this over a 2-year period with such a basic model ?

5 - Has the Nike Dunk Low 'Panda' become the most hated pair on the sneaker market ?

For several months now, the Dunk Panda has been one of the pairs most cited in the most hated releases on the networks.
Is it any wonder ? Not really. The pair has been seen and reviewed for over 2 years now. The number of restocks is countless, and the colorway has had an incredible collection of variations : Full family sizing, Next Nature, Dunk Twist, Reverse, High, Low, Mid, Dunk Low Disrupt and even Air Jordan 1 Mid and Low versions too.
Exclusivity is highly appreciated in the sneaker community. The fact that everyone has the same pair on their feet quickly dampens the excitement after a while.
Nevertheless, it's an essential step for any product that wants to establish itself as 'permanent'.
The pair that remains in stock on the Nike store and at many retailers, but is still selling. It was even discounted in some stores with a promo code and didn't last long.
On the other hand, the pair is also available instore and many people are going to try them on and buy them in person, which wasn't possible before.
Finally, don't lose sight of the fact that even on sale, Nike will continue to make a profit on a Nike Dunk Low 'Panda'.
The Nike Air Force 1 'Triple White' is not an instant seller.
However, it remains one of the best-selling pairs both in stores and online in large quantities, which is far more profitable for Nike than an ultra-limited edition.
Always loved or hated, we still don't know if Nike will end up taking it out of circulation.
In the meantime, the different variants of the Nike Dunk 'Panda' are available online at retail prices. Check out the different models here to grab a pair in just a few clicks.
We'll keep you posted on the further adventures of this black and white colorway.

The release is expected on the 2nd of November at Supreme US, EU, and UK sites and locations, with an Asia release following on the 4th.

A Look Back at Previous Colorways

Supreme and Nike have had a history of successful collaborations. The Air Force 1s, in particular, have seen multiple restocks in both "Black" and "White" colorways. Before the "Baroque Brown" rumors began, the pair also made an appearance in a "Wheat" colorway. Supreme x Nike Courtposite: A Golden Collaboration for 2023

  • Posted By : Hatim
In the dynamic world of streetwear and sneaker collaborations, few partnerships generate as much buzz as Supreme and Nike.
As sneakerheads and fashion enthusiasts got hyped last time with the release of Supreme's "Rammellzee" SB Dunks for the 2023 Fall/Winter collection, another collab is here: the Supreme x Nike Courtposite.

A Sneak Peek by the Tennis Pro

The collaboration was thrust into the limelight when the world's No. 1-ranked men's singles tennis player, Carlos Alcaraz, previewed the sneaker.
Just ahead of the US Open, Alcaraz, the reigning Grand Slam champion, made a pit stop at Nike's New York headquarters. Among the array of products he was gifted, the Supreme x Nike Courtposite stood out.

Design and Aesthetics

Originally teased in Supreme's 2023 F/W lookbook, Alcaraz's closer look gives fans a detailed view of the sneaker's design. The shoe boasts a shimmering gold Foamposite upper, subtly adorned with the iconic Supreme branding on the midfoot and tongue. A striking silver panel graces the center of the midsole, complemented by a sleek black outsole.
A nod to its origins, the Courtposite, first released in 2002, was crafted specifically for tennis, setting it apart from its basketball-focused sibling, the Foamposite.

More from the Collaboration Pipeline

The Supreme x Nike partnership doesn't stop there. Rumors are swirling about a Supreme x Nike Clogposite collaboration set to drop in Spring 2024. However, fans are still waiting for a first glimpse of this rumored pair.

Release Details

While Alcaraz's preview has certainly whetted appetites, the official release details remained under wraps. That was until a recent update. Supreme has now announced that the Nike Courtposite collaboration will be available in three distinct colorways. Sneaker enthusiasts can mark their calendars for Thursday, Oct. 19, when the shoes will be up for grabs on Supreme.com and at Supreme's flagship stores. For those in Japan and South Korea, the release is slated for Oct. 21. As for the retail pricing? That remains a mystery, for now.

If you love Air Maxes, and particularly Nike Air Max 1s, it won't have escaped you that Nike has gradually reopened the floodgates this year on this iconic 1987 model.
Better than that, the brand with the Swoosh is offering us a 2.0 version of the famous Nike Air Max 1 Chili released in 2003.

This new release features a color scheme similar to the original, but as usual with a few twists for a bit of freshness.
The pair features a white mesh upper appreciated by purists, complemented by gray suede overlays, and contrasted by a black mudguard, lining and Nike Air on the rear.
As for the Swoosh, it adds its sparkle to the side, opting for a red to match Tinker Hatfield's visible air unit and upper eyelets.

What are the differences between the Nike Air Max 1 Chili 1.0 and the 2.0 ?

Well, you'll notice quite a few differences, right down to the details of the pair.
We can see straight away that the gray suede inserts of version 2.0 have replaced those in dark leather of version 1.0, emphasizing the contrast on the other elements of the pair.
Then the tongue label has had its colors reversed, from a red background/white branding to a white background/red branding. The black mesh lining was originally white.
Lastly, the outsole has lost its red front to be replaced by a mix of black and white.

The Nike Air Max 1 Chili 2.0 dropped online on July 20th, 2023 at a retail price of €149.99 | £139.95 | $140

About the sizing, the Nike Air Max 1 fits true to size. so we recommend to order your regular size.
While the model is now more than 36 years old, the comfort is still pretty good on these especially with the materials selected for the release.

In an unprecedented move, Nike, the global sportswear giant, has partnered with Fortnite, the popular online video game, to launch "Airphoria", a unique gaming experience that merges the world of sneakers with the digital realm. This collaboration is a testament to Nike's innovative approach to engaging with its audience and a clear indication of the future of sports fandom.

Airphoria is an immersive gaming experience that brings Nike's iconic Air Max brand to life within the dynamic landscape of Fortnite. This virtual universe, meticulously crafted around the signature design elements of Air Max, offers players an exciting new way to engage with the sneaker brand. The launch of Airphoria marks a significant step in Nike's efforts to deepen its connection with fans and expand its digital ecosystem.

The Airphoria island in Fortnite is inspired by five iconic Air Max "Grails" - the Air Max 1 OG, Air Max 97, Air Max TW, Air Max Scorpion, and Air Max Pulse. These sneakers, each representing pivotal moments in Air Max history, hover above the virtual city, creating a state of "pure imagination and creativity."

In addition to the digital experience, Nike has also released a limited Airphoria-inspired collection on its website, bridging the gap between the virtual and physical worlds. Fortnite players can also purchase outfits showcased by the main Airphoria characters, Airie and Maxxed Out Max, in the Fortnite Item Shop.

The Airphoria island is accessible from June 20 at 12 pm ET through June 27 at 8 pm ET. This limited-time event is a must-visit for all sneakerheads and Fortnite enthusiasts.

As sneakerheads, we believe this collaboration between Nike and Fortnite is a game-changer. It not only showcases the potential of digital platforms in enhancing brand engagement but also underscores the growing influence of gaming culture in fashion and lifestyle sectors. It's a clear indication that the future of sneaker culture lies at the intersection of physical products and digital experiences.
Somehow, they are bringing the culture to where the youth are spending their time.

Nike Mac Attack - A Travis Scott & John McEnroe Collab

  • Posted By : Hatim
The sneaker world is abuzz with the news of the return of the classic Nike Mac Attack. This iconic shoe, first introduced in the 1980s, is making a comeback in a big way, thanks to a collaboration between Nike, rap superstar Travis Scott, and legendary tennis player John McEnroe.

The Nike Mac Attack, originally designed for McEnroe in 1984, has been absent from the market for some time. This reissue marks a significant moment for Nike, as it's been a while since the brand has launched a reissue of this magnitude, leveraging the star power of two different eras.

Nike Well Collective - A Holistic Approach to Wellness

  • Posted By : Hatim

Nike, the global sports brand, has recently launched a new initiative known as the Nike Well Collective. This initiative is a testament to Nike's commitment to promoting holistic wellness, focusing on the body, mind, and life.

The Nike Well Collective was inspired by insights from women and is designed to support wellness journeys for everyone, regardless of how they define them. The initiative is built on five pillars of holistic fitness: movement, mindfulness, nutrition, rest, and connection.

Movement is about providing resources, inspiration, and knowledge for physical activities, from traditional sports to activities like dance, yoga, walking, and stretching. Mindfulness promotes research-backed methods such as meditation, visualization, breath work, and self-talk to help individuals feel more centered and balanced.

Nutrition offers expert advice with an open-minded and shame-free approach to help people fuel their movement and feel their best. The rest pillar provides actionable ways to maximize sleep and recovery, while the connection pillar presents opportunities for community, both online and in person, along with promoting greater connection to nature and one's own self.

As part of this initiative, Nike will onboard more than 1,000 new global fitness trainers and engage with a diverse roster of world-class academics, researchers, scientists, medical professionals, and authors across its holistic fitness pillars. This move is aimed at making the Nike Well Collective a trusted source of guidance and support for holistic fitness.

Starting from June 13, Nike Live stores will be transformed into Nike Well Collective stores, and the @niketraining Instagram handle will become @nikewellcollective. These changes reflect Nike's evolution and its focus on the five pillars of holistic fitness.

In conclusion, the Nike Well Collective is a significant step towards promoting holistic wellness. It is not just about sports anymore; it's about focusing on the body, mind, and life.
As Amy Montagne, VP/GM of Global Nike Women’s, puts it, "Our ultimate goal is to help more people move, feel good in their bodies and connect with what matters most — a life well lived.

The sneaker world is no stranger to trends, but the rise of the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 has been nothing short of phenomenal. This sneaker, with its unique features and variety of colorways, has captured the hearts of sneaker enthusiasts and fashion influencers alike, making it a strong contender for the title of Sneaker of the Year.

History and Evolution of Nike Zoom Vomero 5

The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is not a new kid on the block. It first made its debut in 2011 as a performance shoe designed for speed demons looking to shave seconds off their mile times. However, it wasn't until its reintroduction in 2018, in collaboration with A-Cold-Wall, that the sneaker caught the attention of the fashion world.

Since then, the Vomero 5 has been re-released in limited numbers, each time causing a frenzy among sneakerheads and fashionistas.
However, I'm not sure runners are after these in 2023...

Design and Aesthetics

The design of the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is a perfect blend of retro and modern aesthetics. The sneaker boasts industrial motifs and technical craftsmanship, making it a standout in the current sneaker landscape. One of the most popular editions of the Vomero 5 is the Triple Black Edition, a sleek, all-black version that exudes a cool, urban vibe.

Performance and Comfort

But the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is not just about looks. It's a sneaker that delivers on performance and comfort as well. The shoe is highly breathable and features Nike's Zoom technology for active cushioning. It also has a range of design features that ensure great stability, making it not just a fashionable choice, but a practical one too.

Popularity and Trend

The popularity of the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 can be attributed to several factors. The influence of social media and fashion influencers has played a significant role in its rise. The sneaker's retro silhouette resonates with the current nostalgia for Y2K-era kicks, making it a hit among Gen Z and millennial consumers.

The most recent hype was on the Doernbecher edition with the digital swoosh and other velcro accessories.

And as for comfort, the Vomero 5 is often praised for its cushioning and stability, making it a comfortable choice for both everyday wear and physical activities.

Nike's role in the sneaker industry cannot be understated. With the Vomero 5, Nike has once again proven its ability to create sneakers that are not just fashionable, but also functional and comfortable. The Vomero 5 is a testament to Nike's innovation and influence in the sneaker world.

Future Prospects

With its growing popularity, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is poised for a big future. Nike is set to release more colorways and collaborations, further cementing the Vomero 5's status as a must-have sneaker.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is more than just a sneaker. It's a symbol of the intersection between fashion and function, between nostalgia and modernity.
We can also say that Nike bring this silhouette back on the shelves because people are more and more looking into lifestyle sneake and half performance half aesthetic like asics and new balance.
