Honoring Jordan Brand's original fan membership program from the late '80s and early '90s. The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Flight Club" pays tribute to the mail-in membership program that delivered exclusive newsletters, behind-the-scenes content, and physical gear to Jordan fans long before sneaker media and social platforms existed.

Design & Inspiration

Choosing the Air Jordan 4 as the canvas for this tribute carries special significance—the first issue of the Flight Club newsletter dropped in 1989, the same year Tinker Hatfield's Air Jordan 4 debuted, featuring Michael Jordan mid-Jumpman dunk in the original "Fire Red" colorway. The program ran from the late '80s into the early '90s, offering members newsletters, T-shirts, posters, and occasionally autographed photos.

The "Flight Club" borrows construction cues from the popular "Military Black" with a smooth Sail leather upper and white leather base. Black accents arrive on the winged eyelets, most of the midsole, and heel tabs. University Red highlights the Jumpman tongue logos and Nike Air heel branding—the latter featuring red edging for elevated detail over standard Jumpman treatment. Grey suede covers the toe cap with layered rippling stitching across the panel. X-ray-style graphics appear on custom insoles alongside Flight Club branding, while the tongue features the Air Jordan Flight Club logo. The outsole revives the classic "Nike" stamp. Special packaging includes vintage-style inserts and collectible box design.

Real and synthetic leather combines with grid mesh underlays for texture, dimension, and elevated style. Plush Max Air cushioning in the heel provides responsive comfort with optimal support. Free-floating eyestays near the ankle tighten over the foot when laced for secure lockdown. Rubber outsole with herringbone tread pattern delivers durable traction.

Release Information & Pricing

The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Flight Club" released January 17, 2026 in the US through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers. The EU drop is scheduled one week later on January 24th. Price : 220$/210€/190£
