ASICS revisits its early 2000s running heritage with the GEL-NYC “Strawberries and Cream”, a summer-ready release perfectly in line with current trends.

This Asics Gel-NYC 'Cream Mineral Beige' edition features a breathable cream mesh upper, complemented by mineral beige suede overlays and metallic silver synthetic accents. Soft pink suede panels on the mudguard and toe cap add a delicate touch, while ASICS' signature side stripes and branding elements maintain the classic aesthetic. The design draws inspiration from the GEL-NIMBUS 3 and GEL-MC PLUS V models, combining retro elements with contemporary styling.

The GEL-NYC incorporates a midsole borrowed from the GEL-CUMULUS 16, featuring a combination of lightweight foams and visible GEL technology inserts in the forefoot and heel. This setup delivers responsive cushioning and impact absorption, ensuring comfort during extended wear. The inclusion of a metallic silver TRUSSTIC plate offers added stability and arch support, enhancing the shoe's performance capabilities.

The Asics Gel-NYC “Strawberries and Cream” was released on June 3, 2024, at selected ASICS retailers. The retail price was $130/150€/145£.

The pair was restocked a year later in June 2025 for those who had missed it.
