Although it began life as a simple sneaker, the adidas Originals Gazelle has come a long way since its creation in 1966. It was initially released in just two colors : 

the red model was designed specifically for indoor sports, while the blue model was used as a training shoe.

But the Gazelle's history goes back even further. Its predecessor, the 'Olympiade' model, released in the early 60s, helped the Gazelle achieve the success it is today.
